Ch 4, worksheet 7

What is in the honeymoon salad?
Lettuce alone with no dressing.

I thought the Chapter 4 reading was pretty straightforward in the beginning. I understood the concepts until I read the whole explanation. I suppose it just became convoluted. I did not understand the purpose of the characteristics of the sample mean especially the sum of squares. I understand the concept, but I do not know what it is used for.

My First Post

I am Ryan Wandler.
I am a Sophomore at Pepperdine.
I am a Theatre Acting major and I just recently added a Psychology major.
My favorite psychology class so far has to be introduction to psychology because it was the only one I have had so far. I did really enjoy it, however Professor Folkerts is a great teacher.
My biggest concern about this course is that it is at 8 AM!!! I also think that there will be a lot of homework, but I'm Okay with that.
I'm taking this class because it is a requirement for the Psychology major.
I really enjoy math and I have no math classes at pepperdine because of AP credits, so I'm looking forward to working the opposite side of my brain for a while.
I love carpentry and building things with my hands. To me there is nothing like a nice hard day's labor. I also love acting and working with lighting instruments for the theatre. I am in the Pepperdine Improv Troupe as well.
I haven't had a bad psychology teacher yet, so I'm sorry that I can't help you out there.
My best psychology teacher always had lots of examples that related everything we learned to something outside of class. There was always an application to it, something practical.
I'm looking forward to a great semester!
